Help & support

A hand, whenever you need one.

Everything you need to set up your family, add a child, and get the daily rhythm going. Most questions are answered below — and a real person is one email away.

Getting started

The first run takes a few minutes. You'll set up your family, add your children, create a first task or two, and choose how rewards work. You can change anything later — nothing here is permanent.

1 · Set up your family

Open the app and follow the calm onboarding. You'll answer a few questions about your household so the app can pace itself to your family. Add a co-parent now or later from Settings.

2 · Add a child

Give each child a name and age. The app uses age to suggest age-appropriate tasks and to set a sensible reading level. You can add as many children as you like at no extra cost.

3 · Create a task

Pick from the research-backed library or write your own. Keep the first ones small and genuinely achievable — success is what builds momentum. Set when it repeats and whether a photo check-in is required.

4 · Approve check-ins

When your child marks a task done, it appears in your approvals. A light tap confirms it, releases the reward, and adds another brick to the habit. Grace days mean one missed day never breaks a streak.

5 · Child mode & child login

You don't need a second device. A safe child mode runs on your phone, and an optional child login lets older kids use their own device with their own calm space, avatar and wishlist.

6 · Subscription & cancelling

FamilySkillz is one simple subscription that unlocks everything, for every child. Billing is handled by the App Store, and you can cancel anytime from your App Store account — no calls, no retention traps.
